Managed by the Air Force Culture and Language Center, part of Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala,
the Language Enabled Airman Program (LEAP) is a career-spanning program to sustain, enhance and assist with the utilization of the existing language
skills of general purpose forces (GPF) USAF Airmen. The objective of LEAP is to develop cross-culturally competent leaders across all Air Force specialties
with working level foreign language proficiency.
LEAP’s eMentor program is computer-based online language and culture training provided in a virtual environment to LEAP participants.
LEAP participants can attend class from anywhere there is a sufficient internet connection available.
All classes are live, follow a set schedule and are facilitated by a highly qualified, native speaking, language instructor (the eMentor)
in a cohort of other participants within a language. Participants require a computer, webcam, headset and internet connection to access the
online classroom and participate in training. (see details)
